It’s summer and most are on vacation, but we need to set the tone for the next school year. Things are not getting better. Please try and make this event on Wednesday July 27th.

Come to the NYC Department of Education’s Panel for Educational Policy and would like to speak to the chancellor and panel. You have 2 minutes to speak at the microphone. Main topics include the attacks on probationary educators (discontinuance), attacks on ATRs, abuses by supervisors and overall issues that plague our public school system.
It’s also the first panel meeting with the new top lawyer of the DOE, Howard Friedman.

[UPDATE: THIS HEARING HAS BEEN CANCELLED!] Support Terminated PS 89x Paraprofessional Samuel Pagan at PERB
Samuel Pagan was a paraprofessional who helped PS 89x’s neediest children. When he spoke up about special education Anna’s safety concerns he was immediately attacked by the infamous Principal Ralph Martinez. He filed grievances and was terminated without cause.
He filed a complaint with the NYS Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) and his open hearing starts tomorrow morning.
